A HAMPSHIRE beach was closed after needles, glass and fish hooks were deliberately placed on it.
Police say Browndown beach near Stokes Bay in Gosport had to be closed due to items being placed in shingle and bushes.
They included shards of glass and needles which were sticking up through shingle on the beach while fish hooks were found in bushes and bags of dog faeces were left there as well.
The site was closed by the Ministry of Defence in November as a result of the items being dumped there.
A number of homophobic signs and ones targeting paedophiles were also found there.
Anyone with information should contact Hampshire police on 101.
