DRIVERS are facing delays in Southampton this morning after a manhole cover broke on a busy city road.
Temporary traffic lights have been put in place on Tremona Road while workers from Southern Water fix the fault.
The firm say they expect the problem to be fixed today.
They took to Twitter to apologise for the delays.
A spokesman said: “We are working as fast as possible and expect it to be fixed today. We apologise for the inconvenience to drivers.”
Motorists reported long delays at the junction with Coxford Road caused by the four-way temporary lights.
