A RUSH-HOUR crash near a city-centre bridge is causing delays for motorists.
The incident involving two cars happened on Bitterne Road West, Southampton, and the outbound carriageway is currently blocked.
Ambulances were called to the scene as a man in one of the cars had a "medical episode".
A spokesperson for South Central Ambulance Service said: "We were called to the incident at 3.02pm after one patient had a medical episode.
"He was taken to Southampton General Hospital in a non-life threatening condition. We sent a rapid response vehicle and one ambulance to the scene."
Police are currently at the incident after the collision which happened near the Northam Bridge today.
Hampshire police said the collision involved a silver Ford and Volkswagen Golf.
The crash has also impacted public transport as bus service Bluestar wrote on social media: "Due to an accident on Northam Bridge, route 18 and other services in the area may be delayed for which we apologise."
