DRIVERS got in a flap today after a swan landed on the motorway.
Commuters were approaching Junction 2 of the M27 near Ower when they encountered the unexpected hazard just after 7am.
Overhead signs warned of “animals in road” and told motorists to cut their speed to 50mph.
But the swan, which is thought to have mistaken the motorway for water, took off again before causing any problems.
A police spokesman said: “We received several calls from motorists but it had gone before we got there.”
