POLICE have arrested two people after a brand new £65,000 boat for disabled people was stolen.

The American-made Centurion Carbo Pro was taken from the middle of a lake nearRingwood just two weeks after it was delivered.

The specially-equipped craft, one of only four of its type in the UK, is described as “too unique” to sell.

Ellingham Waterski and Wakeboard Club manager Chris Mullins said members were in a state of shock following the theft on Wednesday.

But just days later the vessel was tracked down by Hampshire Police's Marine Unit.

Police have confirmed that a 59-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman from Poole have been arrested on suspicion of theft and released on police bail.
