A Hampshire parenting group is looking for volunteers and bargain hunters to help run its nearly new sale.

Southampton NCT (National Childbirth Trust) is looking for volunteers to help on the morning of Saturday, May 14, at the sale at Woodlands Community College in Harefield.

Volunteers have a great chance of picking up some fantastic bargains as they get to shop before the sale actually starts, beating the queues.

And as anyone who has been to an NCT sale will know, this is a great opportunity as the sales are very popular and long queues often form waiting for them to start.

Volunteers are needed to help set up the sale the evening before and to run the event on the day.

The charity is also looking for people to donate or bake items for the cafe at the sale.

The sale runs from 10.15am to noon.

You do not have to be an NCT member to volunteer, sell at the event or attend it.

For anyone wishing to sell items at the event, seller packs are available for £3, which allow them to sell up to 80 items. All sales made on the day are subject to a 30 per cent donation to the NCT. Sellers do not have to be present at the event.

Entry to the sale is £1.50. Due to lack of space, buggies are not permitted in the hall.

The NCT offers support and information for parents, helping them to make informed choices. This includes running classes, groups and social media support pages and offering support face to face, over the phone and online.

The Southampton NCT is looking for volunteers to help run its groups on an ongoing basis as well as for this event.
