A LORRY driver was assaulted and left unconscious in the street after a road rage altercation with two other motorists.

Police are appealing for information after the incident, which left the 30-year-old victim in hospital with serious head and facial injuries.

The man was driving a Raymond Brown HGV lorry on Station Road, Nursling, between 3.45pm and 4.05pm on Wednesday, May 4.

He was involved in an altercation with the drivers of a black Mercedes saloon and a silver Vauxhall Corsa and was later found unconscious lying in the street.

The drivers of the cars are described as being white, aged in their late teens to early 20s, and between five feet eight inches and six feet tall.
