A motorcyclist suffered head injuries after a crash in Hampshire.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident when the biker fell off his bike in Gosport Road, Fareham.

The incident took place just south of the Saltern Lane traffic lights, around 10.35pm on Sunday.

An 18-year-old man was riding his motorcycle when a red van, described as being a similar size to a VW Transporter, reversed out of a driveway and into the carriageway.

This caused the motorcyclist to fall off his bike and onto the pavement. He was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital for treatment to a minor head injury.

The driver of a van is helping police with our enquiries.

Offcicers would like anyone who saw what happened to contact PC Michael Nol, from the Roads Policing Unit at Havant police station, on 101, quoting 44160191897.
