A HERD of cows caused traffic chaos on a Hampshire road.
The loose animals escaped onto Allington Lane between Eastleigh and Fair Oak at about 1pm today, prompting concerned drivers to contact police.
Driver Chrissy Penfold was caught up in the incident and said: "They were just storming up and down the Lane by the bridge.
"There were some very concerned people but none were brave enough to do too much about it.
"Traffic was tailing back quite far because of it too.
"They looked petrified, the poor things."
