WHETHER you're partying at Common People, off for a walk or getting on with the gardening, the weather could make or break your Bank Holiday weekend.

Hampshire has a mixed forecast over the next three days, with a thunder warning on Sunday but temperatures hitting 20 degrees in milder spells.

The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for Saturday.

The notice, which is valid from 12noon until 9pm, says: "Although some places will remain dry during Saturday, scattered heavy showers and thunderstorms are likely to develop through the afternoon and continue into the evening in places, so be aware of the potential for localised surface water flooding, whilst lightning and hail will also be additional hazards for travel and outdoor activities."

Thunder storms passed through Winchester and north Hampshire last night and could return on Sunday.

However, those who avoid the showers will have some sunshine and temperatures in the mid-to-high teens.

The Met Office's Graham Madge said: "It will feel for most like a nice weekend, outside those showers. You'll get to see some sunshine."

Monday will be breezier and largely dry with sunny spells.
