ONE of Hampshire’s top attractions has unveiled plans for a new two-day event which is set to wow the crowds.

The Beaulieu Supercar Weekend will take place at the National Motor Museum on August 20-21 as part of a new partnership between Beaulieu Enterprises and Brand Events.

The high octane weekend will replace Beaulieu’s Supercar Showdown, a one-day event held at the museum for the past five years.

Beaulieu Supercar Weekend will feature eye-catching display of more than 350 top-of-the-range vehicles.

Highlights of the new show are due to include stunts and precision driving demonstrations, plus a party featuring live music, guest speakers and firework display.

Supercar to Race Car will trace the origins of modern GT vehicles and the influence of the track on everyday supercars.

The event will also celebrate the centenary of the birth of Ferruccio Lamborghini, the name behind many of the most memorable supercars ever designed.

The Supercar Holy Trinity will bring together the undisputed kings of the modern supercar class – the Porsche 918, the Ferrari LaFerrari and the McLaren P1.

The Super-SUV Secret Garden will showcase 500hp cars capable of crossing continents in a single day.

Special tribute collections will be staged in the picturesque grounds of Palace House, ancestral home of the Montagu family.

The weekend will also feature an extended parade, enabling visitors to enjoy a close-up view of the high-performance vehicles.

Beaulieu’s managing director, Russell Bowman, said: “We are excited to be working with such an innovative and exciting company and look forward to drawing on our collective expertise in launching and developing ground-breaking consumer experiences.”

Chris Hughes, chief executive of Brand Events, added: “Beaulieu is a magical place steeped in motoring heritage and with a highly professional team.

“We see great potential for developing new and existing concepts working alongside the Beaulieu team.”
