THIEVES targeted the car of a heavily pregnant woman.

Soon to be first time mum, Natasha Etherington, had her overnight stay bag taken from her car in Mansel Road, Millbrook in the early hours of Monday morning.

The 25 year-old woke up to find the driver’s seat window had been smashed and the bag, along with two sat nav’s, had been taken.

Natasha said that the overnight bag contained items bought by friends and family for the newborn baby.

She said: “The bag had so much sentimental value, I had stuffed it full with blankets, comforters and clothes of every size for the baby!

“I am not too worried about the sat nav’s but it would mean the world to me if the bag could be located.”

Witnesses believe that the car was broken into by ‘two 15 year old males’ on bicycles.

Natasha and her partner, Chris Bliss, 26, from Millbrook had decided to take the bag to an event in Crawley in case Natasha went into a premature labour.

She is due on June 26 but the family believe the baby may come early.

The couple left the bag in the car after returning home at 3am.

They hope that the bag would’ve been ditched once the thieves realised it contained nothing of value.

Chris’ mum, Melanie Barfoot, 53, from Sholing said that the crime heartless and cruel.

She said: “Natasha has had the bag packed for a long time now and it was reassuring to know that she had everything there in case she does go into labour.

“I would like to stress how important it is to Chris and Natasha that they are reunited with this bag. Even if it is found drenched in a bush, please let us know its location.”
