Missing teenager found 'safe and well'
A TEENAGER who went missing has been found safe and well - a week after disappearing.
Meghan Maidment was last seen at her home in Portchester last Sunday evening at around 11pm.
Yesterday she was found in Southampton city centre, police say.
It came 24 hours after officers were at Southampton Central Station showing her picture to rail passengers as they stepped up the search to find her.
It followed them releasing a photograph of her and asking anyone who saw her to contact them.
A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said she had been found at 3.28pm.
He told the Echo: "Meghan was found walking along a street in Southampton. Because of our appeal someone saw her. She is safe and well."
