A MAN has been taken to hospital after suffering “life-threatening” injuries in a crash this morning.

Emergency services were called to between junctions 3 and 2 of the westbound carriageway of the M27 this morning.

The crash involved a lorry and a car at about 6.55am.

A spokesman for South Central Ambulance Service said that the car went into the embankment.

They added that a man in his 40s was taken to Southampton General Hospital by ambulance.

Three firefighting crews, two from Eastleigh and one from Redbridge are at the scene.

Motorists can expect delays on the approach.
