ENGLAND'S football team is preparing for its biggest match in four years - so the Daily Echo sent a reporter to Iceland.
But not the country, of course. The supermarket.
Fans at the shop in Shirley, Southampton were keeping a cool head ahead of England’s Euro 2016 clash.
The anticipation has been hotting up today with the atmosphere due to reach fever pitch when the Three Lions step out onto the turf against the men from the tiny volcanic island.
But supporters talking to our reporter outside supermarket chain Iceland in the city’s Shirley Road say they are not expecting an explosive affair – forecasting a comfortable win for Roy Hodgson’s men.
Yet despite their optimism, many have failed to warm to the team’s performances so far – warning the team need to step up their perfomances or risk freezing in the face of tougher opposition such as France, Germany or Belgium.
