TRIBUTES have been paid to a 'much-loved' man who was found dead in woodland near a Hampshire town centre.

Dad-of-two Jamie Cameron, 38, was found dead in a patch of woodland off Eastern Avenue, Andover, on Friday, June 10.

During his school days he loved football and swimming and was a “very bright” student.

He worked in a number of roles including kitchen porter at the Mayfly, Stockbridge and in Courts furniture store, Whites removals, Acorn Removals, as well as various building sites as a construction worker.

His mum, Joan Cameron, said: "He was far from angelic, he made some bad choices , however he was always loved so much.

"We will miss him terribly."

Sister Becky Cruickshank said: “My brother, known to most as Cameron, was a kindhearted man who would have done anything for anyone , and was so charming he could have sold ice to Eskimos .

"He always had a listening ear through tough times and always loved kicking a football around with my son or listening to my daughter read.

“Although he made some mistakes he will always be my brother and he has left a massive hole in our hearts and we will miss him so much, even if he was my annoying big brother.”

Born in a military hospital in Cyprus on he went to East Street School before attending John Hanson then Winton School.

He moved with the family to The Highlands in Scotland, where he assisted in the family hotel.

Jamie was often referred to as a ‘lovable rogue’ who had a loving nature, always supported the underdog, adored animals, had a varied interest in music, and was a prolific reader, often saying author Martina Cole got him through some tough times .

Jamie’s girlfriend, Zoe Kellett, said: “My beautiful angel, I miss you like crazy and I’m selfishly angry at you for leaving me .

“I know you are at peace now and probably annoying and charming everyone you’re with."

“I love you.”

Mr Cameron’s death is not being treated as suspicious.
