POLICE are investigating after a woman was discovered unconscious by some bin sheds in the early hours of this morning.

The woman in her 20s was not visibly injured but was taken to hospital as a precaution after she was discovered in Earlsdon Street, Portsmouth, at about 5.40am this morning.

She left Popworld at about 2.30am and walked into Guildhall Walk, and was wearing dark trousers and a white and grey striped top.

Detective Sergeant Damian Glendenning said: “We would like to speak to anyone who may have seen her leave the club that night, who walked past the bin sheds that evening or who thinks they saw her between 2.30am and 5.40am.

“We are keeping an open mind regarding what has happened at this stage and would like to hear from anyone who thinks they may have information that could assist our investigation.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact DS Glendenning on 101 and quote reference number 44160274501 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
