FOODIES packed into a Hampshire town to savour delights from across the county.
Hordes of people made their way to Stockbridge to enjoy the tasty treats being served up in the annual Trout 'n' About Food and Craft Festival.
Volunteer organisers hoped to showcase the best of food, produce and crafts from Hampshire with stalls set out along the town’s high street.
Event co-ordinator Tania Casey said this year’s event had been “absolutely brilliant”.
“It was lovely, we had an amazing number of people here. The street was absolutely full with people. All our stalls sold, they all said they had a successful year.
"The entertainers said they were pleased too.
“We had about 120 stall holders here, we were completely sold out, we were turning people away.”
Organised by a core team of volunteers, the event helps to raise cash for local charities and good causes in the area.
“We’re very passionate about local food and craft producers,” Tania added.
“All the money from raffle tickets [and other sources] all goes into local charities. All of our local volunteers decide who they want to put forward to be beneficiaries. Each year we support four of five different charities.”
Those charities will be named at a later date. Plans are already afoot for next year’s festival which is on August 6.
