A HAMPSHIRE man had to be rescued from his home by firefighters.
An ambulance vehicle and a fire engine were called to a block of flats called Clover Nooke in Old Redbridge Road in Southampton.
Firefighters at the scene wouldn’t tell the Daily Echo why they were there.
But a neighbour said: “They were trying to get into a man’s flat because he is having falls, hopefully he’s okay.”
“They could not get into the flat you see, so they had to break down the door.”
A spokesperson for Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “They were assisting the ambulance with gaining entry into a property.”
The incident happened on Saturday at around 11.30am.
