A PENSIONER was attacked and pushed into a road while walking with his wife, who was in a wheelchair at the time of the incident.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the incident, which happened in Bury Road, Gosport, at about 5.50pm yesterday.
The 69-year-old victim is being treated at the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham after the incident.
Officers say the man was walking along the road when there was an altercation with another man in his late 20s or early 30s on a bike.
The man pushed him and the victim fell backwards, hitting his head off the road, before the attacker biked off towards Stoke Road.
