A MAN has been charged with killing a pensioner who died after hitting his head on a Hampshire road.
Police say Roy Galvin, 69, was walking along Bury Road, Gosport, with his wife, who was in a wheelchair, when he was involved in an altercation with a younger man.
During the incident, which happened at about 5.50pm on Sunday, Mr Galvin hit his head on the road and was rushed to Queen Alexandra Hospital but died at 8.15am this morning.
Duncan Snellgrove, 28, of Howe Road in Rowner, has been charged with manslaughter and was due to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court today.
