A FIRE which broke out at a Basingstoke supermarket was thought to have been caused by an electrical fault with a freezer.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that crews from Basingstoke, Hartley Wintney and Tadley were called to Iceland at Chineham Shopping Centre at 11.43am this morning, after smoke was seen inside the store.
Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, two hosereels and a jet to extinguish the flames.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious and is thought to have been caused by an electrical fault.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that no one was injured in the blaze.
The fire was extinguished by 12.13pm.
