A cyclist was injured in a crash with a motorbike in Hampshire last night.

Police are today appealing for information following the collision in Hayling Island.

It happened at around 11pm last night when a red Honda 125 cc motorcycle and a dark coloured Carrera Vengence pedal cycle.

The accident was on the southbound carriageway of Langstone Road and caused both the motorcyclist and cyclist to fall from their bikes.

The cyclist, a 59-year-old man from the Havant area, sustained a serious head injury and was taken by ambulance to Southampton General Hospital.

The 28-year-old motorcyclist from the Hayling Island area, sustained a minor leg injury.

PC Peter Sarginson, said: “We would like to hear from anybody who may have witnessed this incident, or anyone who saw the motorcycle or pedal cycle near the collision area around 11pm last night.”
