SHE was days away from being destroyed after her former owner died - now this loveable dog is looking for a new home.

Kira is a six-year-old neutered female, Staffordshire bull terrier cross who came in to All Animal Rescue in Southampton from a pound after her homeless former owner sadly passed away.

She was put into the pound and after her seven days was put onto the destruction list, so the charity stepped in.

Now Kira, who loves nothing more than cuddling up on a sofa, is in need of a new home.

Kira is described as being an excellent dog, who is great with other dogs and children over eight. She is clean in the house, and good to be left for up to four hours.

A spokesman said: “Kira’s favourite thing in life is to sit on the sofa cuddled up to you getting adored and stroked, she is great on and off the lead.

“Kira is a chilled out girl who would suit a laid back family either on her own or with another chilled out dog.

"Kira’s only negatives are on long car journeys she gets car sick, she pulls on the lead and in the house she can get jealous if another dog is getting her attention and can push them out of the way, so another dominant dog would not be suitable.”

Kira is fully vaccinated, micro chipped and neutered. To offer Kira a home either call 02380 893188 or emailinfo@allanimalrescue.co.uk.
