HOLIDAY-MAKERS will be able to travel to another famed destination from Southampton airport next summer.
Airline Volotea, which services small and mid-sized European cities, is set to expand its operation from the south coast with a route connecting Southampton and Ibiza.
Flights will operate once a week from May 25 to the Balearic island and has a number of old towns and quiet beaches, as well as its more famous nightlife.
Dave Lees, Managing Director of Southampton Airport, said: “We are delighted that Volotea have introduced a new route to Ibiza for summer 2017 which will run alongside their existing route to Majorca.
"Being able to offer a range of different destinations for summer sun is one of our main priorities and we hope to see many people traveling to Ibiza in 2017 as well as to Majorca with Volotea."
