SHE'S a regular on prime time telly and has treaded the boards in the West End – now, an award-winning TV and theatre actress will give aspiring youngsters in Hampshire an acting masterclass.

Actress Nicole Faraday will share her experience with You’re a Star Acting and Dance Classes on Saturday at 3pm at Hamble Community School.

Nicole Faraday is an award-winning star best known for playing Snowball Merriman, the glamorous murderess, on ITV’s hit series Bad Girls.

She is also known for her recurring roles on BBC’s Casualty as Dr Heather Lincoln and Veronica on ITV’s Emmerdale.

In the theatre, Nicole also originated the role of Shell Dockley in Bad Girls: the Musical, with a successful run at the West Yorkshire Playhouse and subsequently in the West End at the Garrick Theatre.

Her performance won her the award for Best Supporting Performance at the prestigious TMA awards 2006, and she was a nominee for Best Supporting Actress at the What’s On Stage Theatregoer’s Choice Awards 2007.

She also features on the original West End cast album and the DVD of Bad Girls: The Musical.

Hayley Palmer, from You’re a Star Hamble, said: “A lot of the children aspire to be a TV star like Nicole - she is bringing a laptop to show the children herself on screen, and scripts for the children to learn.”

Speaking about her upcoming class for youngsters aged three and up, Nicole said: “I always took part in local drama clubs and dancing schools but never had the facility to learn anything about tv or film production, as it was all theatre.

“That’s why I think it is great that Hayley has given the youngsters this opportunity, as working in TV or film is so different to theatre.”
