Delays for rail users following signal problem in Southampton
RAILWAYS users are experiencing delays this morning following a signal problem in Southampton.
South West Trains say the fault is in the Redbridge area and is causing trains to be delayed between Southampton Central and Romsey.
Delays of up to 30 minutes are expected until about 10am this morning.
A South West Trains statement says: "Engineers are working to investigate the cause of the fault so that it can be rectified.
"Some trains may need to be altered at short notice in order to prevent congestion in the Southampton area.
"We are sorry for the disruption to your journey today."
