THIS weekend Saints veteran Wayne Bridge has been celebrated as the jungle “nice guy” by fans on social media.

Fans of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! have praised the father of three after he avoided dishing dirt on his fellow Chelsea and England team mate, John Terry.

Two years ago, Bridge hit the headlines when he snubbed the former England captain in a game between Chelsea and Manchester city.

The initial disrespect was caught by the broadcaster and aired to millions of football fans, which then fuelled rumours of an alleged affair between Terry and Bridge’s now ex-wife, Vanessa Perroncel.

In a discussion with campmates, Wayne had the perfect opportunity to shed like on the incident and slate his ex-team mate – however he did not.

When asked which footballers he did not like, Wayne simply said: “There are a couple of people I might not have liked but you don’t get on with everyone.”

Since then fans of the show have taken to twitter and Facebook to applaud Bridge for taking the moral high ground.

The millionaire also spoke about the money he made as a footballer.

He also also played for Chelsea, West Ham, Manchester City and Fulham during his Premier League career.

“It’s crazy money, being a footballer is like a lottery ticket. So many people are worse off than me. I just got lucky and played football,” said Wayne.
