ANOTHER New Forest pony has been killed in an accident.
A grey mare died after being hit by a vehicle on the B3054 road next to the old aerodrome between Beaulieu and Lymington.
The animal was hit despite wearing one of the special collars that aim to protect ponies by reflecting car headlights.
The New Forest Verderers also received a report that a pony had been involved in an accident on the B3079 at Bramshaw.
A Verderers’ spokesman said a search was carried out but the animal could not be found.
