HUMAN remains have been discovered in a park, prompting a major police investigation.
Officers were called to a wooded area in Long Meadow, off Willow Walk in Barton-on-Sea just after 10am on Tuesday.
Hampshire Police has revealed the remains are of a female but said the investigation is in its early stages and no further details are available.
A cordon is in place.
