A THIEF assaulted a Poundland member of staff before making off with around £60 in cash.
Police were called to the Poundland on Shirley High Street on November 29.
They received reports of a robbery in the branch.
A member of staff reported being assaulted by a man who had taken cash from the till.
The man left on foot with the money, down the High Street in the direction of the town.
Anyone with information, or who witnessed the incident, is asked to contact police on 101 quoting 44160450302.
When contacted by the Echo, Poundland said: “This is currently a police matter and therefore we are unable to comment at this time.”
