A CAR burst into flames this morning in a Southampton neighbourhood.
The blaze began at about 8am yesterday near the Saints Pub in Millbrook and pictures show smoke billowing into the air.
Firefighters were called to the scene and the road was closed.
Witness Dale Halloway, 37, a sales assistant from Millbrook said: "It happened about quarter to eight this morning.
"The red car was indicating down Porlock Road and the blue BMW hit the back of him.
"As soon as he hit the red car, the BMW just burst into flames - it was absolutely engulfed.
"The back end lit up first though.
"People were all over standing around, it was really shocking for this time of morning."
It is not known if anyone has been injured as a result of the incident.
