Southampton residents are set to benefit from a £2 million investment in its bus services.
Bluestar has announced 10 new double decker buses for its Bluestar 1 service which operates between the city centre and Winchester.
The buses will begin running tomorrow.
Bluestar’s managing director Andrew Wickham said: “We’ve made a significant investment of almost £2 million in these British-built vehicles which are equipped with brand new on-board features.
“Local people will spot the new buses out and about alongside our campaign designed to showcase them.”
The first customers to use the vehicles will also receive a Christmas gift from the service.
Andrew Wickham said: “We’re excited to show off our newly enhanced Bluestar 1 fleet and looking forward to receiving feedback from our customers about their travel experiences.”
The launch of the new buses will also be streamed by Bluestar on Facebook live.
