IT IS the biggest vintage fair in Britain.

One of Europe’s largest vintage wholesaler returns to Hampshire with the Vintage Kilo Sale.

On January 14, the retro shopping experience comes to Southampton for the very first time.

It is being billed as one of the biggest vintage fairs for fashionistas to fish out a bargain away from the high street sales.

Five tonnes of vintage clothing will be available for shoppers to rummage through and then the clothes will be weighted at the scales, with shoppers paying £15 per kilo.

The event will take place at the Engine Rooms on Harbour Parade when trend setters can take advantage of quality vintage stock for what is being described as an ‘unrivalled price’.

Shoppers who do not want to buy a full kilo of clothes can pay as they weigh.

All items of clothing will be available including dresses and denim, bomber jackets and blouses, festival fashion and formal wear.

Popular with students and celebrities alike, they will be a diverse range of attendees – Charli XCX, 5 Seconds Of Summer and Florence Welch have all spotted at The Vintage Kilo Sales in the past.

Founder Judy Berger calls it “taking retro to its roots.”

Acknowledged by fashion magazines and websites like Elle and ASOS, shoppers can expect high standards and authentic clothing, bringing vintage that’s affordable, eclectic and always ‘worth the weight.’

Early bird entry: 11am, £3 admission and general Entry: 12pm, £1.50 admission, both are payable on the door.
