DINERS and drinkers rubbed shoulders as three city restaurants threw open their doors.

Red Dog Saloon enjoyed a packed-out opening night, with James ‘Arg’ Argent, of The Only Way is Essex fame, in attendance.

The Real Greek welcomed its own celebrity in TV star Tonia Buxton, who presents My Greek Kitchen.

And All Bar One gave a sneak peek around its eatery, which will open on Friday, January 20.

All the venues are part of the new Westquay complex in Southampton city centre.

Reality star Argent said: “I have been to Red Dog Saloon in London and I am a big fan.

“All of my mates know how much I love it.

“Me and my mates tried to do the Devastator challenge but I broke out in food sweats.

“It’s lovely to be in Southampton, it has a great atmosphere and really nice food.”

Over at The Real Greek, Buxton said: "“Greek food is my life and being here tonight is very exciting.

“When people ask me to tell them a typical Greek dish I struggle to answer because Greece is so vast that food varies from place to place and you can’t narrow it down. "The Real Greek instead takes recipes from all over the place in Greece and offers a wide selection.”

Paula O’Reilly, All Bar One Southampton Westquay’s general manager, said they were looking forward to opening their doors.

She said: “The bar looks absolutely fantastic, and the team can’t wait to start meeting guests and we would encourage anyone who hasn’t been to All Bar One to pop in and experience it for themselves.

“We are delighted with the location of this All Bar One, right in the centre of Westquay with a beautiful outside space, which will be the perfect place to relax after a hard days shopping.”
