SO ALAN Whitehead votes against triggering Article 50 for Brexit. Now correct me if I am wrong, but do not the constituents in this great city vote for those that will represent their views in Parliament?
Southampton and in particular Southampton Test, voted for Brexit in the referendum. So perhaps Mr Whitehead could tell me why what he thinks is far more important than what we the people wish?
Does he have a divine right to disagree with those that elected him? Does he feel that the years he has been incumbent in Parliament, have given him a comfortable but rather contemptuous attitude to Southampton Test and its populace?

The distant and out-of-touch culture of the establishment is endemic in its corridors – has he got too used to that? Well Mr Whitehead, I do not know if you are planning on retirement, but with an election coming in three years’ time, I suggest you start making preparations now.
