GREEN-FINGERED shoppers are invited to a planting workshop being held in Southampton.
The event, at B&Q Hedge End, in Charles Watts Way, will hold the informative session from 12pm to 2pm on Saturday (February 18).
The vegetable planting workshop is being held in conjunction with Sutton’s Seeds as a way to encourage families to get outdoors and enjoy gardening.
It will be hosted by in-store B&Q horticulturalists who will help to show children and parents how to grow their own food.
Mike Norton, market director for outdoor at B&Q, said: “Children will be fascinated as they see the seeds they have sown themselves grow into flowers and produce.
“Seeing the bees and butterflies visiting the flowers is a great way for them to engage with nature.
“They will be so proud to see the vegetables they have grown themselves make it into their dinner.”
