TWO women attacked and attempted to rob a woman in a Hampshire town.

The 46-year-old victim was on Hawthorne Road, Totton, when she was approached by the two women, who she did not know.

One tried to take her bag and the other attacked her, leaving her with a bruised face.

The first woman is described as being white, aged between 20 and 21 years and about five feet five inches tall.

She was skinny and had short dark hair, which appeared to be shaved at the sides but in a longer bob style at the back.

The second woman is described as white, about 20 years old, five feet seven inches tall, and tubby, and had long wavy blonde hair tied back in a pony tail.

On the back of her hand she had a tattoo with a symbol made up of an incomplete circle.

Police are investigating the attack, which happened at about 9.45pm on Thursday, February 9.

Detective Constable Alison Humby said: “We are seeking the public’s help to identify the two women in these E-fits, as we would like to speak to them about this incident.

“In addition, we are appealing for any witnesses to this robbery attempt, or anyone who was in the area at this time who may have seen two people matching this description acting suspiciously.”
