GRAHAM Pointer [Dr] points out [Letters, February 17] that Barack Obama’s Terrorist Travel Prevention Act [2015] did not ban entry to the USA to all travellers from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and the Yemen, but only those without visas.
My letter of February 15 did not distinguish between the Act denying entry to some, rather than all, travellers from those seven Muslim countries. The widespread belief that Obama’s Act banned entry to all from those seven countries sprang from what Donald Trump and his staff said about it. Was that “fake news”?
