A MAN was attacked in his home and had belongings stolen by burglars.

Police are investigating after the incident, which left the 23-year-old victim with facial injuries.

They are keen to trace three suspects, who took a Playstation and clothes from the home in Queens Mead, Winchester, between 6pm and 7pm on Wednesday.

The first is described as being white, about five feet nine inches tall, in his early to mid 20s, of medium build, and wearing a white polo top underneath a black jacket.

The second man is described as being the same height and age as the first man, but of skinny build and wearing a woolly hat with a bobble on top.

The third is described as being a white man, about five feet nine inches tall, and in his early 20s.

DC John Duggan from Basingstoke CID said: "We'd like to reassure people that this was an isolated incident which is being treated with the utmost seriousness.

“We are doing everything we can to find the people responsible and would urge anyone with any information, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem, to contact the investigation team.”
