A POPULAR on-demand takeaway service is set to launch in a Hampshire town.

Hungry residents of Fareham will now be able to get their hands on their favourite food from over 15 different local takeaways and restaurants across the town.

A spokesperson from Deliveroo, said: “We’ve seen a huge demand for Deliveroo in Fareham and we’re excited to be launching next month

"We’re feeling very positive about the creation of new work opportunities for local people.

“The team is looking for people with passion, drive and great customer service, who are seeking the added benefit of flexible hours amongst other perks.

"We would encourage anyone looking for a fast-paced and exciting atmosphere to apply.”

Deliveroo estimate that between 25-30 jobs will be created, with the majority of these being Deliveroo riders, who will aim to deliver food, which will be cooked fresh to order and delivered from the restaurant kitchen to the customers’ door within 30 minutes.

Food orders and payment are all processed through its website or IPhone App, the search is based around your local postcode and the search results will produce a list of restaurants within the specified delivery zone and time.

Restaurants that have signed up to use Deliveroo are encouraged to use the same pricing for delivery as they do for their normal menu, although there are exceptions.

Deliveroo was launched in 2013 by Greg Orlowski and William Shu and has grown rapidly across the UK and throughout the world.
