I JUST had to write and say how I was lucky enough to see Billy Elliot The Musical.

I purchased the ticket a year ago on the first day of selling as I had seen it beamed live to a cinema before - with quite a bit of interference, which was such a shame. I wanted to be there in the theatre in London.

I finally got my wish to see it at the Mayflower.

REVIEW AND PHOTOS: Billy Elliot the Musical >>>

It was amazing; a wonderful story told by fantastic actors that were beautiful singers and dancers. The only thing missing was Marc Bolan singing I Love to Boogie.

There were a few people complaining about the language, but that is how it was when Maggie Thatcher was about.

It brought tears to my eyes a few times and made my hairs stand on end when Billy was reading the letter from his departed mum, when he was flying with the older dancer holding him.

It was breath-taking. We are lucky to have such an accommodating theatre.

I am waiting to see Ghost now.
