THE Holiday Inn Winchester hosts a second special charity fund-raising event for Hounds for Heroes, with the return of its popular Curry and Quiz night.

The first event last year raised £640, with the funds helping towards training assistance dogs for injured and disabled men and women from the armed forces and civilian emergency services.

Sarah Waddington, the hotel’s marketing manager, said: “The first fund-raiser quickly sold out and those who came wanted a return match and to sample our award-winning chef’s amazing Indian Buffet again. Many of those who took part said that the curry was the best they had ever tasted!

“So by popular demand, we have decided to have another fund-raising event for the charity, that the hotel sponsors by providing free accommodation to the injured veterans, while they are in training with their Hounds for Heroes assistance dogs. The hotel has worked closely with the charity for the last three years. We have eight fully adapted wheelchair friendly rooms available and felt that they could be utilised to help this worthwhile charity, that does so much to rebuild the lives of injured service personnel”.

The fund-raising evening on Thursday, March 23 includes an Indian buffet, prepared by the hotel’s 2 AA Rosette Award-winning team, with all the fun of a quiz.

The food will be served from 7pm (the quiz will start at 7.45pm).

Tickets are £14.95 each.
