Keep your running shoes out and put the date in your diary.

Hot on the heels of one of the most successful Eastleigh 10k races organisers have released the date of next year's event.

Almost 2,800 adults and 370 children pounded the street of Eastleigh on Sunday to have fun, keep fit and raise money for good causes.

Next year organisers are hoping for another sell out when the event takes place on March 18.

Josh Grace from Farnham and District Athletics Club was the winning man and finished at 31.03 minutes while Kate Maltby from Bristol and West Athletic Club took 34.10 minutes and was the winning female.

Steve Collins, race director who has been organising the event for the past 25 years, said: “The race again proved to be a great success and we were thrilled with the support from runners for this popular 10k event.”
