Police are hunting three motorcyclists who put pedestrians at risk Shirley High Street yesterday afternoon.

The trio was seen riding motorcycles without registration plates carelessly at at speed along Shirley High Street and Crabwood Road just after 2.30pm on March 21.

One of the bike was described as an orange KTM off-road bike, while another was a green-coloured trials bike. There was no description for the third bike.

The rider of the KTM has been described as white, aged between 20-30 years old and wearing a dark-coloured jacket, grey tracksuit bottoms and a luminous yellow crash helmet.

PC Peacock said: “We are appealing directly to those who may have photos, videos or dash cam footage of the bikes from this incident or any other times.

“I would like to hear from anyone who has information about the rider and if anyone has seen where the bike is being stored.

“If you saw these bikes, if you know who the riders are, or you know where they are stored, please get in contact with me via 101 quoting 44170105797.”

Hampshire Constabulary have also said that at around 2.50pm, the rider of the orange KTM appeared to deliberately ride at PC Simon Peacock from Southampton West Neighbourhood Policing Team, who heads up Operation Torque in the west of the city.

PC Peacock managed to avoid a collision. The rider was last seen crossing Romsey Road from Wimpson Lane towards Palm Road.
