A NEW and "unique" music festival will be coming to the Isle of Wight, it has been revealed.
The event, which has been dubbed "the new Bestival", will take place at the Robin Hill Country Park on September 9 and 10.
The festival called Eklectica will host a mixture of "alternative” musicians and world renowned tribute bands.
Organisers Vectis Ventures Ltd has so far revealed that Little Chix, The Killerz, Madness tribute Band, Mumma Mia Tribute, Daft Club and One Direction tribute band will be making an appearance.
The festival will be held in the outlying woodlands around the park's amphitheatre and will also showcase electronic and dance music as well as a range of performing arts including a circus, poetry readings, comedy gigs and theatre and burlesque shows.
Bestival organisers announced in December that the festival was moving to Lulworth Castle in Dorset.
Organiser Rob Holegate, who is also the company's managing director, said: "We are very excited about putting on Eklectica.
"Our aim is for it to be the party that ends the summer and we hope that this year's event will be the first of many."
