POLICE have launched an arson investigation after two fires damaged four cars.
Three vehicles, two Range Rovers and a Volkswagen, were wrecked at a property on Botley Road, Burridge, at around 8pm on Saturday, March 25.
Ten minutes earlier crews attended a Jeep which was badly damaged nearby on the same road.
Firefighters from Hightown Fire Station were called to tackle the fires.
A spokesman for Hampshire Fire and Rescue said: “The three-car fire was dealt with by 10.20pm. The vehicles were destroyed.
“There is now a joint investigation between us and the police down there today.”
Speaking of the Jeep fire, he said: "Half of it was damaged by the fire and no-one was injured."
Detective Constable Carla Moore, said: “We are investigating the circumstances surrounding these two incidents and are appealing for anyone with information to come and speak to us.
“We have information to suggest someone riding a high powered motorcycle was in the area at the time of the incidents. Did you see someone riding a motorbike in the area? Did you see or hear anything that could be connected? I would urge anyone with information to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
