POLICE want to know what caused a motorway crash which left drivers facing huge delays.

The collision left two lanes of the M27 blocked and involved a Vauxhall Agila, which swerved and hit the central reservation between junction 11 and 12 on the eastbound carriageway.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who might have footage of the crash.

The other car, which has been described as a black estate, possibly a Vauxhall Astra, left the scene after the incident, which happened at about 12.40pm on Sunday, March 25.

PC Anthony Botten said: "I am appealing to anyone who witnessed this collision to make contact with me immediately so we can ascertain what took place.

"I would also urge motorists to check any DashCam footage to see whether they have caught the collision or anything immediately prior to it that could help in identifying the unknown vehicle."
