A CAR careered down a bank off the M27 just minutes after police reopened the road following a late-night crash.
The vehicle was on the eastbound carriageway near junction 1 for Cadnam when it left the road.
There were not believed to be any serious injuries and the motorway did not need to be closed.
A South Central Ambulance Service spokesman said it was called to the scene at 12.06pm.
They added: "The two occupants of the car had got out of the vehicle by themselves and fortunately only sustained minor injuries.
"We sent a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance and our Hazardous Area Response Team to the scene.
"One patient was taken on to Southampton General for further treatment; one patient was able to be treated and discharged at the scene."
The road had only just been reopened following a nine-hour closure to investigate a four-car crash involving an alleged drink driver in a Honda Accord.
At least three police vehicles were damaged as they brought the Honda to a stop on the hard shoulder at 2am this morning
