A HAMPSHIRE council has been honoured for promoting healthy lifestyle to its staff.
Eastleigh Borough Council has been recognised in the Energise Me awards for the work done to promote physical activity to staff.
The council was awarded with a second place in the “Active workplace” category during an official ceremony at St Mary’s Stadium on March 30.
The Energise Me Awards celebrate everything involving sport, coaching or volunteering across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight and recognised the work done by EBC for developing an effective workplace health programme.
The council has taken several measures to boost a healthy lifestyle among its employees including after work sports groups and encouraged staff to cycle to work.
